Obituary of Roy Lee Goodwin

Roy Lee Goodwin, age 66, of the Madras Community, passed away, Sunday, March 31, 2019, at his residence.  Roy Lee was born May 2, 1952, in Odessa to Robert Lee and Mary Jane Phelps Goodwin.  Roy enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing.  One of his favorite times of the year was Christmas, where his mom would make him a black walnut cake.  Roy was truly one of a kind and loved his friends and family.  He was preceded in death by his father; daughter, Vanessa; wife, Patsy Goodwin; brothers, Larry Dean Goodwin, Harvey Goodwin and Dedrick Stiles.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Jane Walton and husband, Lewis of Clarksville; nephews, Chad, Scott and Aaron; nieces, Holley, Kelsey, Stacie and Lori; brothers, Brian Goodwin of Clarksville and James Paul Stiles of Trenton.

Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2019, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in Madras Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends an hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home.
