Obituary of James Carey

James “Jimmy” Robert Carey Jr, 63, of Detroit, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Jimmy was born in Lynnwood, Ca to James Robert and MaryEllen Upchurch Carey. He received his bachelor’s degree from East Texas State University. He is preceded in death by his father and numerous aunts and uncles. Jimmy is survived by his mother MaryEllen Carey of Detroit, his wife Karen Sheppard Carey of Paris; two sisters Sandi Ayers and husband Richard of Detroit and Bobbie Litton and husband Mike also of Detroit.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.

Graveside services will be Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Tuggle Springs Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Tuggle Springs Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
