Obituary of Ben Edward Townes Jr.

Ben Edward Townes, Jr. age 75, of Annona, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019, at The Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. He was born May 4, 1943, in Miami Beach, Florida to Ben and Pauline Kingwell Townes. Ben was preceded in death by his mother; and his daughter, Rebecca Jean Beard.

Ben is survived by father, Ben E. Townes, Sr. and wife, Maxine; two sisters, Priscilla Townes and Susan Wilson; children, Teresa Herron, Jason Mitchell and Coty Townes; ten grandchildren, Jake Roghair, Ryan Roghair, Brittany Beard Hilton, Joshua Mitchell, Jessica Woodard and, Jordan Mitchell, Alexa Townes, Bryson Townes and Talon Townes; and seven great grandchildren, Izzabelle Brooks, Khloie Brooks, Taylor Hilton, Kiersten Hilton, Kaylee Fletcher, Karson Baggett and Quinnleigh Jo Woodard.

Funeral Services are set for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 24, 2019, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev.  Tracy Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Coty Townes, Robin Bland, Paul Allen, Jeff Berryhill, Bruce Emery, Donnie Wilson

Honorary Pallbearers are Hardy Stewardson, Frankie Davis, Craig Anderson, Billy Raulston, Tony Barnard and Jim Pohlmeyer.

Family will receive friends, one hour before service time.
