Obituary of Garvis Haley

Garvis Alton Haley, age 93, of Grand Prairie, formerly of Avery, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at his residence.  Garvis was a loving father, who taught his children to be accountable for their actions and was always there for his family.  He was born, May 5, 1925, in Cuthand to Robert Willard and Mary Bruce Haley.  He served in the U.S. Navy and was retired from Continental Airlines.  His wife, Louetta Lumpkin Haley, seven sisters and five brothers preceded him in death.

Graveside services are set for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019, under the Pavilion of Avery Cemetery with Rev. Jordan Villanueva officiating.  Services are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Survivors include one son, Michael Alton Haley and wife, Angie of Grand Prairie; two daughters, Sandra Bufkin and husband, Ray of Grand Prairie and Mary Yeager of Burkburnett; grandchildren, Diana Scott, Shelly Ruba, Chris Hawkins, Bradley Haley and Chris Yeager; great grandchildren, Britney, Bryan and Alexandra; and one great-great grandson, Mason.
