Several years ago I was in Clarksville doing some family research and had the pleasure to meet Mac. He was very pleasant and helpful to his newfound cousin. (My great grandmother Giddens was from Manchester.) Since then, every year I sent him a Christmas card, and Mac never failed to respond. I can only imagine the blessing he was to his family and the people of Clarksville.

We had the opportunity to visit with George, his daughter and son-in-law in June 2017 in his home in Clarksville. George was a gracious host and we had a nice visit as we were visiting from California. George shared wonderful stories and pictures of his military service. We also had the opportunity to reconnect in August of this year. George will be missed. May the Lord's presence be with you and may his strength and comfort sustain you in the days ahead. With our sincerest sympathy, J.W. Dub Kerbow and his daughter Patricia.

Met Mr Giddens in 2013 when we first moved to Clarksville. My wife’s mother’s name is Giddens. Her family is from Manchester. George remembered her from his younger years. He told us stories of going to Manchester and seeing my wife’s family. He came to our house with books and articles from the past that were treasured to him and a treat for us.
Good man. We will miss seeing him around town.

To the family, my heartfelt condolences for your loss of your loved one. Please find comfort in the knowledge that God promises to put an end to all the things that have plagued mankind for centuries including pain, suffering and death (Revelation 21:3,4). May these promises from the Bible give you comfort now and real hope for the future. My deepest sympathy.
