Obituary of Richard Crigler Harvey

Richard Crigler Harvey, age 86, of Annona, passed away, Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at his residence.  Mr. Harvey was born, July 13, 1931, in Titus County, Texas to Riley W. and Margaret Crigler Harvey.  He married Sarah Ann Garrett on August 4, 1951 and was a member of the Church of Christ.  Richard was a Mechanic, Large Equipment Operator and Rancher.  He also served as Red River County Commissioner for Precinct 3 from 2009 until 2012. Mr. Harvey was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Jimmy Harvey, Donald Harvey and Paul Harvey.

 

Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 23, 2018, at the Church of Christ in Clarksville on Highway 82 West with Mr. Harvey’s family members officiating the service.  Burial will follow in Savannah Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

 

The family will receive friends an hour before service time at the church.

 

Pallbearers are Michael Jones, Stephen Jones, James Harvey, Blaine Puckett, Bryce Puckett, Rick Duren, Brian Morris, Shane Harvey, Mike Harvey and Brandon Harvey.

 

Honorary Pallbearers are Donnie Gentry, Ed Bordner, Glenn Stewart, Kirk Ingram, Elmer Caton, Israel Huerta, Toribio Munoz, Robert Guinn and Brian Barnes.

 

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Ann Harvey of Annona; 2 daughters, Vivian Harvey and husband, Dennis Wright of Austin and Anthea Wrinkle and husband, Mike of Sachse; sisters, Ramona Duren of Clarksville, Sandra Puckett of Clarksville and Karen Harvey of Powderly; brothers, Bill Harvey of Oregon and Bob Harvey of Paris; grandchildren, Tim Wrinkle and Rachel Antrikin; and 8 great-grandchildren.
