Obituary of Doyle Gene Smith

Doyle Smith, age 75, of Detroit, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018, at his residence.

Doyle was born November, 16, 1942, in the Howland Community of Lamar County to Kenneth Doyle and Claudean Miller Smith.  He was preceded in death by his parents; Step father, Nelson Jackson and brother, Billy Jackson.

Graveside services are set for 9:30 a.m. Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Bethel Cemetery with Rev. Doug Higdon officiating.   Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Alley Smith of Detroit; his son, Doyle Smith, Jr.; 2 daughters, Heather Gray and husband, James of Blossom and Susan Outland and husband Michael of Blossom; his sister, Sharon Bridges of Paris; and 3 brothers, Thomas Jackson of Paris, Keith Jackson of Blossom and Steve Jackson of Blossom; 6 grandchildren, Ashley Cook, Courtney Outland, Madison Gray, Audrey Gray, Grady Gray and Sasha Burton; and great grandchildren, Cambria Outland, Noah Cannon and Dixie Cook.
