Obituary of Kevin Harold Major

Kevin Harold Major, age 47, of Ft. Worth, formerly of Clarksville, passed away, Wednesday, June 06, 2018, at Community Hospice of Texas.

 

Kevin was born August 15, 1970, in Clarksville to Paul Harold and Dorthea Geraldine Riddle Major.  Kevin was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved being in the outdoors.  He enjoyed traveling and being with his family.  He married Sayda Lopez on April 22, 2000.  Preceding him in death are his parents; grandparents; and an infant son, Matthew Clayton Major. Kevin was a Software Engineer with Lockheed-Martin and a member of the Keller United Methodist Church. 

 

The family will receive friends Friday, June 8, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018 in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Dr. Chris Hayes and Rev. Don Shovan officiating.  Burial will follow in Lanes Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

 

Pallbearers are Aaron Major, Shawn Earl, Jorge Lopez, Brent Napier, Rusty Lowe, Chad Eudy and Boanerges Lopez.

 

Honorary Pallbearers are James Jones, Tanner Napier, Daniel Major, Jorge Lopez, Jr., Julian Garcia and Robert Scott Major.

 

Survivors include his wife, Sayda Lopez Major; his father and mother-in-law, Boanerges and Amanda Lopez of Mt. Vernon; his brother-in-law, Jorge Lopez and wife, Hilda of Grapevine; his sister, Leanne Earl and Husband, David of Winnsboro; 2 brothers, Mike Major and wife, Lu of Clarksville and Scott Major and wife, Joyce of Clarksville and 9 nieces and nephews.
