Obituary of Barbara McGregor Aydelott

Barbara Jean McGregor Aydelott, age 68, passed away, Sunday, April 01, 2018, at a Paris, Texas nursing home.  She was born, July 3, 1949, in Clarksville to Cape and Syble McGregor.  Barbara was a lifelong resident of Red River County except for the 3 years in the early 1970’s when she lived and worked in Dallas at Parkland Hospital.  She worked in Clarksville at several convenience stores including, the Quickie, Mint Mart and Handy Foods.  Barbara was a 1968 graduate of Clarksville High School and was a member of the Bagwell Baptist Church. She moved to Paris about 6 years ago.  Barbara enjoyed being with family and friends, working puzzles, playing computer games and attending nieces and nephews sporting events.  In the last few years, she enjoyed going to the gym where she made several new friends.  Her parents and 2 husbands, Buddy Smith and Leon Aydelott preceded her in death.

Survivors include 2 brother, Dub McGregor and wife, Genetta of Clarksville and Coy McGregor and wife, Jo of Paris; a nephew, Craig McGregor and wife, Sandy of Paris; 2 nieces, Angie Duren and husband, Todd of Powderly and Stacy Taylor and husband, Kevin of Detroit; great nieces and nephews, Erin, Matthew, Jessica, Jacob, Taylor, Jodi, Clay and Kali; and 2 great-great nephews, Wesley and Oakley.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2018, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Ray McGregor officiating.  Burial will follow in Hillside View Cemetery in Boxelder under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends an hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Brian McGregor, Craig McGregor, Todd Duren, Matthew Duren, Kevin Taylor and Rustin Blevins.
