Mr Herbert was a friend to not only the acquaintances of his dear daughters, but to any and all who asked for his kind assistance! For example, one night he rapidly responded to a request for help and rescued a young man whose car was stuck in the mud in front of a girlfriend's home without question. I had the privilege of visiting his home on several occasions and experienced his gentle generosity and energetic enthusiasm more times than I can count! We all knew Mr Herbert dearly loved and was devoted to his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends, community, state and nation. He was the type of individual everyone admired - And he was also a Patriot Hero! A person of honor, integrity, genius, ingenuity, perseverance, determination, faith and compassion! I am so proud to have known Mr Herbert and his dear daughters. We all knew we could count on them through thick and thin!! The Angels and Miss Julia started rejoicing when he joined their ranks on Monday! Mr Herbert is finally HOME and although we WILL miss him terribly -know we will see him again!! The "Herbert Harmon" legacy is in good hands and I know he was SO PROUD of his family!! XXOO
