Obituary of Betty Barrett Collins

Betty Rose Barrett Collins, age 82, of Clarksville, passed away, Monday, February 15, 2016, at her residence. Mrs. Collins was born April 24, 1933, in Earth Texas to James Barrett and Marie Blakney. Betty was a member of New Haven Missionary Baptist Church and loved her friends and family very much. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Elmer Ray Collins and her son, Kevin Collins. There will be no formal visitation. The family has requested viewing time to be held at your convenience at the Clarksville Funeral Home. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016 at New Haven Church with Rev. James Hinkle and Rev. Dennis McClintic officiating. Burial will follow in Caldwell-Collins Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Betty is survived by her 2 daughters, Karen Collins Roberts and husband, Howard of Clarksville and Donna Collins King and husband, John David of Kerens; 1 son, Rodney Ray Collins of Clarksville; 1 sister, Irene Sheek of Colorado; 8 grandchildren, David Collins, Michael Halley, Curtis Joplin, Timothy Joplin, Keith Roberts, Emily Rodenbeck, Christopher Halley and Matthew Roberts; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
