Obituary of Bruce Moore Bland

Bruce Moore Bland, Jr., age, 91 of Clarksville, passed away, Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at his residence. Mr. Bland was born September 18, 1924, in Clarksville to Bruce Moore and Doll Robinson Bland, Sr. He served in the U.S. Air Force where he was a Fighter Pilot and later retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Bland was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Bland; and a sister, Mary Marguerite Bland Beadle Detweiler. Graveside services are set for 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 14, 2016, at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Don Shovan officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. There will be no formal visitation. Survivors include 2 sons, Robin Bland and wife Ginger of Clarksville and Timothy Bland of Clarksville; 5 grandchildren, Lee Bland Lee of Waco, Luke Bland of Clarksville, Bobby Jack Bland of Clarksville, Tyler Bland of California and Aaron Bland of Colorado. and 8 great grandchildren.
