Obituary of Sarah Carter Malone

Sarah Carter Malone, age 74, of Clarksville, passed away January 2, 2016, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Malone was born, July 24, 1941, in Nashville, Tennessee the daughter of Cecil and Annie Allen Carter. Sarah graduated from Midstate Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and made her career in nursing. She was employed by several hospitals in the area. Including, Wadley Hospital, Little River County Hospital, Red River General Hospital and later East Texas Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Carter. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2016, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Mr. Aaron Vander Schaaf and Rev. James Brown officiating. Graveside services and burial will follow at 2:00 p.m., at East Memorial Gardens in Texarkana under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are, Bobby Walraven, Gary Gregory, Brandon Harbison, Danny Russell, Wayne Dial, John Grantham, Danny Russell and Lee Hendrix. Honorary Pallbearers are David Wilkerson and Gary Foreman. Survivors include her husband, Charlie Malone of Clarksville; son, David Malone and wife, Karen of Rochester, Minnesota; daughter, Tresa Stinson and husband, Keith of Mt. Vernon; grandsons, Josh Malone and Derrick Goodwin; 2 great grandchildren, Laney and Andrew; and her brother, Cecil Carter of Raleigh, North Carolina .
