Obituary of Mary Lee Tippit

Mary Lee Tippit, age 96, of Clarksville, passed away December 31, 2015, at Regency Health Care Center. Mrs. Tippit was born September 26, 1919, in Deport to Joe Melton and Arminty Ann Countryman Daniels. She was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Tippit was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Tippit; and her son, Officer J.D. Tippit. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2016, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Don Shovan officiating. Burial will follow in Red Oak Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. Survivors include 4 sons, Donald Tippit and wife, Mary Frances of Paris, Wayne Tippit of Mt. Pleasant, Edward Tippit and wife, Janice of Mt. Pleasant, Ron Tippit and wife, Jerri of the Lone Star Community; 2 daughters, Christine Christopher of Plano and Joyce Debord and husband, Alvie of Terrell; 23 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
