Obituary of Jacqueline Stead Stokes

Jacqueline Stead Stokes, age 73, of the Lone Star Community, passed away Friday, December 25, 2015, at her residence. Mrs. Stokes was born July 18, 1942, in El Paso to John and Dorothy Van Doren Stead. She was a member of the Lone Star Methodist Church. She married Prentice Wilson Stokes and he preceded her in death in 2006. Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 31, 2015, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Don Shovan officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be the men of the Lone Star Methodist Church. The family will receive friends an hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include 2 sons, James Stokes of El Paso and Lowell Stokes of El Paso; grandchildren, Josh, Garrett and Andrew Stokes; and a brother, Ray Stead of San Antonio.
