Obituary of Dorothy Sue Dillow

Dorothy Sue Dillow, age 82 of Deport, passed away, Sunday, December 20, 2015, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Dillow was born November 24, 1933, in the Hopewell Community of Red River County. She was the daughter of Luther and Jewell Monkhouse Lewis. Sue retired from Wal-Mart and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bogata. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sue enjoyed tending to her flowers, crocheting and was a great cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Dillow on November 1, 2000; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters. Graveside services are set for 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at Madras Cemetery with Rev. John Purviance officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers are, David Igo, Joe Burnett, Jim Purviance, Aaron Lum, Terry England and John Wilson. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include 2 daughters, Gale Burnett and husband, Larry of Bogata and Tammy Wagstaff and husband, Lynn of Cuthand; 1 sister, Joyce Igo of Deport; her grandchildren, Stephanie Purviance and husband, Jim of Cuthand, Joe Burnett of Beaumont, Havala England and husband, Terry of Melissa and Aaron Lum and wife, Casey of McKinney; and 10 great grandchildren.
