Obituary of James Whiteman

James Walter Whiteman, age 87, of Avery, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015, at Clarksville Nursing Center. James was born December 30, 1927, in Avery to William Walter and Etta Pearl Bellotte Whiteman. Mr. Whiteman enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He loved his family very much and will be truly missed. James was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Larry Whiteman; his step-son, Johnny May and his step-daughter, Patricia May. Graveside services are set for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2015,at Avery Cemetery with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial is under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Martha Marty Whiteman of Avery; two step-sons, Jerry May of Archer City and James May of the Philippines; his daughter, Vickie Williams of Avery; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and 11 step great grandchildren.
