Obituary of Lula Bishop

Lula Miller Bishop, age 97, of Clarksville, passed away, Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at Regency Nursing Center. Mrs. Bishop was born, September 24, 1917, in Van Buren, Arkansas to Bill and Alice Pierce Miller. She was a member of the College Avenue Baptist Church and the Rebekah’s. Mrs. Bishop was preceded in death by her husband, Harvie Thomas Bishop; sons, Leslie Bishop and Kenneth Bishop; and daughters, Juanita Beaty, Juanell Pool and Letha Hawks. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 3, 2015, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are; Colby Bishop, Blake Bishop, Blaine Bishop, Jeremy Hall, Scott Bishop, Thomas Blaine Smith, Bryce Smith, Fletcher Young and Clay Tyler. The family will receive friends 3o minutes prior to service time at Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include a son, James Bishop of Clarksville; daughters, Marye Young of Longview and Johnnie Tyler of Longview; grandchildren, Pamala King, Lorie Clements, Jerry Beaty, Joey Beaty, Anita Kearney, Gene Pool, Bryant Pool, Lonnie Pool, Jim Pool, Steve Bishop, Vic Bishop, Justin Bishop, Sandy Hall, Tommy Hall, Deuce Young, Audra Smith, Shawn Bishop, Jason Tyler and Amy Mackenzie; 34 great-grandchildren.
