Obituary of Dell Marie Pratt

Dell Marie Berryhill Pratt, age 78, of Detroit, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015, at her residence. Mrs. Pratt was born September 24, 1936, in Clarksville to Newton Alec and Velma Lee Lynch Whitten. Dell loved to cook and work in her yard. She loved her friends and family very much and they will cherish her memory always. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, J.C. “Shorty” Berryhill; her husband, E.R. Pratt; her daughter, Barbara Bridges and her son Wayne Berryhill. The family will receive friends one hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home. Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2015, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Don Shovan officiating. Burial will follow in New Shamrock Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers are Robert Bridges, Ronnie Bridges, Chae Miller, Doug Miller, Chase Horton and Chandler Horton. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Clough and Curtis Arrasmith. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Nita Janes of Detroit, “Dink” Moore and husband, Billy of Bagwell and Norma Miller of Detroit; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
