Obituary of Gerald Dean Strange

Gerald Dean Strange, age 81, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Mr. Strange was born February 8, 1934, in Lincoln, Nebraska to William and Ruby Francisco Strange. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Ruth Strange; daughter, Patricia Lynn Johnson; brother, Jerry Lee Strange; and sister, Loreen Jo Jackson. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2015, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Gossett officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. There will be no formal visitation. Survivors include his sons, J.D. Miller, Jr. and wife Amanda of Annona and Donnie Miller of Clarksville; his daughters, Lela Norris of Clarksville, Nellie Blagg of Clarksville, Brenda Barton and husband, Philip of Clarksville, Sonia Eddins and husband, Timothy of Clarksville, Melissa Davis and companion, Doyle Monkhouse of Clarksville; his sisters, Ualetta Singh and husband, Krishna of South Lake, Nevada “Susie” Hamilton of Waxahachie, Lucinda Goodwin and husband, Don of Wylie; brothers, Aaron Strange and wife, Judy of Wright City, Oklahoma, David Strange and wife, Karen of Hartland, Wisconsin, Paul Strange and wife, Jackie of Waxahachie and Mark Strange of Muskogee, Oklahoma; Numerous grandchildren with one special granddaughter, Heather Weathers and companion, Chuck McKinney of Clarksville; several great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
