Obituary of Forrest Lee Reed

Retired Staff Sergeant Forrest Reed, age 66, of Clarksville, passed away, Monday, March 30, 2015, in Baylor Hospital in Dallas. Mr. Reed served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. At the time of his death, he was working for the Red River County Water Supply Corporation. His parents; and a son, Forrest Dale Reed preceded him in death. Funeral services will full military honors will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home. Honorary Pallbearers are Charlie Townes, Tim Tackett, Steve Adams, Glenn Adams, Doyle Adams, Curtis Adams and Adam Reed. Survivors include his wife, Dianne Adams Reed of Clarksville; 1 son, Adam Reed of Clarksville; 2 daughters, Nancy Reed of Clarksville and Joyceanne Reed; 4 sisters, Mary McClung, Ara Nell Grubbs, Connie Adams and Ina Tacy; 1 brother, Oscar Reed; and 1 grandchild. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
