Obituary of Hazel E Dawson

Hazel E. Dawson, age 75, of Clarksville, passed away, Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at Regency Nursing Center. Mrs. Dawson was born September 20, 1939, in Petty to George and Thelma Whatley Dawson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother. She married Byron Dawson on October 23, 1966. Hazel loved her church family and was a member of the Temple Baptist Church. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2015, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Lucas Fields and Rev. Eddie Slaton officiating. Burial will follow in Whiteman’s Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, Bryon Dawson of Clarksville; 2 sons, Scott Dawson and wife, Maria of Clarksville and Steven Dawson and wife, Julie of Direct; 1 sister, Bobby Blair of Graham; 1 brother, George Dawson of Conroe; and 3 grandchildren, Melissa, Taylor and Kole Dawson.
