Obituary of Larry G. Taylor

Larry Taylor, age 71, of Avery, passed away, Tuesday, December 09, 2014, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Larry was born August 15, 1943, in Hereford, to Lem Dueward and Virginia Juanice “Tiny” Brooks Taylor. He was preceded in death by his father; and a son, Jeffery Scott. Larry was a member of the Barn Church in Hereford, loved camping, chuck wagon cooking and being in the outdoors. He married Brenda Peek on October 13, 1960. Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 11, 2014, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with the Rev. H.D. “Deanie” Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Bill Peek, Glen Lowrance, Jason Lambert, Richard Potter and Kent Haddock. Honorary Pallbearers are Walter Paetzold, Mark Anthony, Todd Taylor, Brian Lickey, River Taylor, Rain Taylor, Chris Southward and Corbin Riethmayer. A memorial service will be held, January 3, 2015, at the Barn Church in Hereford with Pastor Guy Walker officiating. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Taylor of Avery; his mother, Virginia Taylor of Friona; his son, Tory Taylor of Friona; his daughter, Kimberlly Grady and husband, Dewey of Hereford; his grandchildren, River Taylor and Rain Taylor and wife, Chelsea; his great-grandson, Cartwright Taylor; his sister, Robin Broyles and husband, Johnny of Amarillo; his brothers, L.D. Taylor and wife, Sue of Hereford and Kenny Taylor both of Hereford; his brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Deanie and Shirlee Lambert of Avery and Bill and Alma Peek of Clarksville; and several nieces and nephews.
