Obituary of Edna Glover

Edna Mae Glover, age 77, of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014, at Clarksville Nursing Center. Mrs. Glover was born March 22, 1937, in Clarksville to Arie Earl and Angeline Strunc Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Glover in 1998; a son, Jessie Glover, Jr.; and a half sister, Peggy Tidwell. Edna was a member of the Aikin Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving mother who showed unconditional love for her sons. Edna also was an accomplished seamstress, loved flowers and working in her garden. Funeral services are set for 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 4, 2014, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour before the service at Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include three sons, James Glover and wife, Ann of Avery, Eddy Glover and wife Fonda of Clarksville and Billy R. Glover of Clarksville; two sisters, Dorothy Richardson of Palestine and Mickey Richardson of Gun Barrel City; half sisters, Pauline, Brenda, Martha, Mary Evelyn and Cindy; half brothers, Marshall and Roger; six grandchildren, Blake, Cody, Courtney, James Robert and Rachel Glover and Deric Johnson; and three great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Aikin Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1721 W. Horseshoe Dr., Clarksville, Texas 75426.
