Obituary of Betty White Detrixhe
Betty White Detrixhe, formally of Red River County, passed away, Tuesday, October 7, 2014, in Amarillo.
Mrs. Detrixhe was born October 23, 1935, in Clarksville to John Franklin and Robert Lee “Sweet” Yoakum Whtie. She was preceded in death by her parents; 7 brothers; and 1 sister. Betty was a very hard working lady. She worked for many years at Riverside Auto Center and Coffman Motors which were both family businesses. She was well known and loved by the customers there. Betty was a dedicated member of Christian Center of Ft. Worth and was always inviting friends and family to go to church with her. She was a wonderful mother and beloved grandmother. Betty was always so excited to see her grandchildren and they to see her. She was a very generous woman who could always be counted on to help her children and grandchildren in their time of need. Betty was known for her way with words. You never had to wonder what she was thinking or where you stood with her. She told you whatever you wanted to know or not. Betty was a loyal Dallas Cowboy’s fan and could always be found in front of the T.V., if they were playing. She also absolutely loved to go out and eat Mexican Food. In later years as her health declined, her sprit remained strong and cheerful. A visit with her would always lift your spirits. She was dearly loved and cherished and will be deeply missed. Betty taught us to love all people in spite of their flaws.
Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 11, 2014, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Kathie Donohoo officiating. Burial will follow in New Haven Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
