Obituary of Louise Warthan Proctor

Louise Warthan Proctor, age 91, of Clarksville, passed away June 18, 2014, at Regency Nursing Center. Mrs. Proctor owned and operated Louise’s Beauty Shop in Clarksville for over 34 years. She was born October 8, 1922, in the Vessey Community of Red River County to Patrick Church and Ruth Muriel Wooley Rhodes. Mrs. Proctor was preceded in death by her first husband, Gene Warthan on March 23, 1987; her second husband, Allen B. Proctor on September 19, 2009; and her great-grandson, Wade Witmer on July 23, 2011. Louise was a member of the First Baptist Church. Graveside services are set for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Warthan Cemetery with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Michael Witmer, Charles Jones, Robert Hall, Keith Hall, Doug Tyra and Ian Tyra. There will be no formal visitation. Survivors include a son, Jerry Warthan and wife, Marlena of Gladwater; a daughter, Kay Witmer and husband Ernest of Clarksville; five grandchildren, Michael Witmer and wife, Chrissy of Clarksville, Kayla Hall and husband, Robert of Detroit, Kristy Tyra and husband, Doug of Red Oak, Melanie Pinel and husband, Cory of Denver, Colorado and Jennifer Jones and husband, Charles of Dallas; and seven great-grandchildren.
