Obituary of Juanell Peek

Juanell Peek, age 83, of New Boston, passed away, Monday, May 19, 2014, in a Texarkana Hospital. Mrs. Peek was born March 31, 1931, in Red River County the daughter of Forrest and Cassie Murphy Blair. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wesley G. Blair and Forrest H. Blair, Jr.; and a sister, Elizabeth Robbins. She was a member of Tapp United Methodist Church in New Boston. Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 23, 2014, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Boxelder Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include a son, Gary Peek and wife, Dixie of Avery; a daughter, Lyn DeMars and husband, Kenneth of New Boston; her grandchildren, Melissa Elliott of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Lauriann Abell of El Paso, Chad DeMars of Lubbock, Kari Peek of Texarkana, Kelly DeMars – Hammonds of New Boston and Alexa DeMars of New Boston; and her great-grandchildren, Logan and Cassie Hammonds and Lucas, Evan and Amelia Abell.
