Obituary of Katherine Maroney

Katherine Maroney, age 94, of Boxelder, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Clarksville Nursing Center. Katherine was born January 22, 1920, in Boxelder to John Vernon and Eula Belle Lumpkin Baird. She attended cosmetology school where she became a master barber/beautician. Katherine loved to travel the county with her two daughters singing and playing the piano. She loved her family and friends and will be dearly missed. Mrs. Maroney is preceded in death by her husband, Marlin Eugene Maroney, 4 brothers, Iris, Burvel, Leon and J. V. Baird and 3 sisters, Ava Peacock, Harriet Jean and Virginia Martin Ward. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., April 13, 2012, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Boxelder Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include her two daughters, Pamela King and husband Solon of Clarksville and Sandra Luke and husband Billy of Boerne; 6 grandchildren, Solya King, Jacob King, Marla King, Scott King, Barney Luke and Jeffery Luke; 10 great grandchildren, Jake King, John King, Justus King, Ella King, Layne King, Karlie King, Erica King, Tanitia Luke, Eric Luke and Logan Luke; one great-great grandchild Nicole King and special friends,Jo Nell Allston, Deana Stringer and Janice Martin.
