When I first moved to Red River County in 2008, I was very lonely since we didn't know anyone up here. I prayed to God for a friend, and He gave me Miss Faye. I loved her from the start and her place in my heart only grew the longer I knew her. I took her to doctor appointments and grocery shopping, to see Ronny in Arkansas, and to meet her cousins in Cleburne - or was it Corsicana? :) I carried her to the airport when she was flying out to Utah and to get her cornea transplant this past October. We went out to eat lunch with the Luncheon Ladies every month, I took her to my boys' baseball games, to the dentist and the chiropractor. We always loved the time we got to spend together. We always had lots of good laughs, too. Once I asked her, "Miss Faye, how do those people keep those rows in their gardens all brown with no grass?" And she busted out laughing. She said, "Why they get up real early every morning and get out there with a hoe!" She'd tell me how much she appreciated what I did, and she didn't know what she'd do without me, but I ALWAYS countered that "I" was the one most blessed by our friendship. Spending so much time with this precious saint of God was my honor and blessing. I thank God for letting me call her my friend. I praise Him for taking her home without a long drawn out suffering illness, too. She isn't dead, she didn't die. She's alive and having the best time with RC and Brenda, and her parents, I'm sure. She was a remarkable lady who I loved! I know her sons and daughters (including the in-loves), grandchildren and great grands, her sister and cousins, and friends will miss her and want you all to know that I'm praying for God's Holy Spirit to comfort you with the assurance that you will see her again! Hugs and blessings!

So sorry for the loss of Faye. She was a wonderful Mother. I remember her so well as a Mother proud of her children, Brenda, Ronnie, Roland, Carrie and Benny and husband R.C. at DeSoto Assembly of God. I can still see her big smile and as she would tell us of one of your antics as young children and teenagers. Her family and God were her life. I know you will all miss her. She left quite a legacy. To her Grandchildren the children of Ronnie, Brenda, Carrie and Roland, I know you were the light of her life in her later years and you great grands, what a blessing. To all her other many friends I know she is at peace. Special blessings on each of you.
