Obituary of George L. White

George L. White, age 76, of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Regency Nursing Center. George was born October 26, 1927, in the Acworth Community in Red River County to John and Robert Lee Yoakum White. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Green White on July 7, 2013; a son, Morris White, one sister and 6 brothers. Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 7, 2014, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Hinkle officiating. Burial will follow in Tuggle Springs Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6 to 8, at Clarksville Funeral Home. Survivors include two sons, Tommy White and Jimmy White both of Negley Community; one daughter, Amy Blythe of the Negley Community; three sisters, Wanda Coffman of Ft. Worth, Barbara Finley of Mt. Pleasant and Betty Detrixhe of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Johnny White, Christy Glass, Jimmy White, Jr. and Taylor Blythe, and nine great-grandchildren.
