Obituary of Harold Ray Ward

Harold Ray Ward, age 65, of Clarksville, passed away, Sunday, January 26, 2014, at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. Harold Ray was born December 31, 1948, in Clarksville to Elgain and Virgie Ford Ward. He graduated from Clarksville High School in 1967 and loved being in the outdoors. He also was a member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Michelle Ward of Seattle, Washington and Amanda Wright and husband Warren of Maple Valley, Washington; four grandchildren, Alex Desiree, Kayden, Liam and Evie; two brothers, Glen Ward and wife Jane of Fayetteville, Georgia and Jerry Ward and wife Ann of Texarkana; two sisters, Maudine Reed and husband, Don of Mt. Pleasant and Glenda MacWithey and huband, Marvin of Garland, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 30, 2014, at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Whiteman’s Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 to 8 at Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Don Reed, Jeff Reed, Marvin MacWithey, Gilbert Johnson, David Bynum and Mark Reed. Honorary Pallbearers are John Paul Ward, Rob Ward and Wayne Reed.
