Barry, You will be missed by all and above all you were truly love by all. You were an outstanding person, just a true down to earth mans man. I loved spending time with you when I would visited Red River county, you always made sure I had a good time. I can see your face like it was yesterday, you always wanted to know and would ask, “Son, are those people in California as crazy as I’ve heard” It seemed that you enjoyed hearing stories about Californians and the crazy stuff that takes place out here. And the time I was 12 years old and you were 22, you carried me off to a rodeo/dance. I was ten feet tall, getting to hang with the “Big Boys”. You and your buddies let me have beer right along with you, well it wasn’t long till I was wasted drunk. The fun ended once we got home and you had to carry me in to the house, there at the table was Paula Ruth and Tootsy Peek (my mom). I think if it had been anybody but you she would have skinned them alive, and I recall Paula saying as usual “Why Barry, what have you done”. All I can say is that the best, funniest and most memorable times in my life was getting to hang around and spend time with you. You will be missed, but I’m sure that the good lord has a plan for you. He surely needs your help keeping the rest of those “Peek’s” in line, cause I’m sure they are trying to take over.
