Obituary of James Howard Barrett

James Barrett, age 63, of Bogata, passed away, Friday, October 4, 2013, at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. James was born May 9, 1950, in Nacogdoches to William Tommie and Lilly Edna Berry Barrett. He was an electrician by trade and was a member of the Bogata Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Horace Barrett; and a sister, Tommie Jean Scorggins. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 7, 2013, at the Bogata Assembly of God Church with Rev. Daniel Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Cuthand Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 5 to 7 at the church. Pallbearers are Jesse Barrett, Keith Barrett, Roy Barrett, Cameron Barrett, Todd Watkins and James Barrett. Survivors include his wife, Jane Haddox Barrett of Bogata; 2 sons, James Barrett and wife, Sherri of Atlanta, Georgia and Jeffery Barrett of Bogata; and two grandchildren, Cameron Barrett and Jessica Barrett.
