Obituary of Ruby Ellen Tucker

Ruby Ellen Tucker, age 94, of Detroit, passed away, Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Tucker was born December 24, 1918, in Arkansas to Arthur Eugene and Maggie Jane Mitchell. She was a Long time member of the First Baptist Church in Detroit. Mrs. Tucker graduated from Fulbright High School and then married her high school sweetheart James Tucker; he preceded her in death in 1981. She was also preceded in death by 3 sons, James Paul, Jack Duane and Jerry Eugene; 2 brothers; and 1 grandson. Survivors include 3 daughters-in-law, Edna Tucker of Detroit, Suzy Tucker of Colorado and Alice Tucker of Pinhook; 2 sisters, Ruth Adams of Paris, Eugenia Hayzock of Austiin; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 17, 2013, at the First Baptist Church in Detroit with Benny Cogburn and Rev. Doug Higdon officiating. Burial will follow in Detroit Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour before service time at the church.
