Obituary of Estelle Jeffery Smith

Estelle Jeffery Smith, age 92, of Sugarland, Texas, passed away, Friday, April 26, 2013, at her residence. She was a beautician for 30 years in Clarksville. Mrs. Smith was born August 31, 1920, in Pike County, Arkansas to Ernest Taylor and Essie Pearl Tolleson Jeffery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alva Wilson Smith and a son, Ernest Eugene Smith, 2 brothers, Lyndell and Jerry Wayne Jeffery and 2 sisters, Dorothy Jones and Rose Ivey. Survivors include a brother and his wife, Wallace and Marilyn Jeffery of Cleburne. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Mrs. Smith lived in the White Rock Community of Red River County for many years. She enjoyed reading, painting and playing bridge and was active in her church, participating in the Prayer Room and Mission Arlington. Graveside services are 4:00 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2013, at English Cemetery with Derrell Jones officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
