Obituary of Roger Dale Edwards

Roger “Dale” Edwards Jr., age 40, of Paris, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013, at his residence. Dale was born March 9, 1973, in Paris to Roger and Lanita Smith Edwards, Sr. He was employed by Rocking “E” Moving and Storage Company, loved sports and especially Baseball. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Joshua Hamm. Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Leesville Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday night from 6 to 7 at Cooper-Sorrels Funeral Home in Honey Grove. Pallbearers are Nathan Doty, Boyd Harmening, Chato Viveros, Larry Harbin, Brett Scroggins and Mike Yearwood. Honorary Pallbearers are Aaron Smith and Will Wood. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Langston Edwards; his father, Roger and wife, Ginger Edwards of Woodland and mother, Lanita and husband, Lee Eddins of Honey Grove; grandparents, Lunsford and Laverne Edwards of Woodland; 1 son, Kyler Edwards; 1 step-son, Cacey Langston; 2 daughters, Sierra Edwards and Brianna Edwards; 3 step-daughters, Jerica, Logan and Allison Langston; 2 sisters, Heather Hamm of Woodland and LeAundra Ottmo of Honey Grove; 2 brothers, Phillip Eddins of Honey Grove and Jeffery Eddins of Celina; and 3 step-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Timberlee and Brooklyn.
