Obituary of Junior William Gross
Junior William Gross, age 85, of Texarkana, formerly of Annona, passed away, Monday, January 14, 2013, at his residence.
Mr. Gross was born March 8, 1927, in Foreman, Arkansas to Corbet Roscoe and Mattie Mitchell Gross. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was of the Baptist faith. Woodworking, farming and being in the outdoors was his passion. He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Eugene Gross; and 1 sister, Rene Lansdell.
Surviving Mr. Gross is his wife of 54 years, Wanda Muriel Baker Gross of Texarkana; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Shona Gross of Texarkana; 2 granddaughters, Hanna and Brooklyn of Texarkana; 4 sisters, Jo Ann Tidwell of Tyler, Charlene Phillips of Baskin, Louisiana, Mary Peek of Hooks and Bonnie Vaughn of Tyler; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Gross.
Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Friday, January, 18, 2013, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Chaplin Jeff Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Garland Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Mike Gibson, Ricky Gibson, Devin McEwin, Craig Russell and Gary Chisim.
The family will receive friends an hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home.
