Obituary of Joyce Ann Dickson

Joyce Ann Dickson, 83, of Clarksville, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. Joyce was born January 29, 1936, in Grundy Center, Iowa, to William J and Bernice Dorothy Peters Shellenberger.  Joyce was one of the most caring, positive, and happiest human beings ever to be known. To be half the person that she was would be an honor. She was a loving sister, wife, mother, Grandma, and Gaga. She dearly loved her family, those close and far away. Nothing will replace her squeezing hugs, sweet smile, and the twinkle in her eyes. Heaven has gained yet another soul.  Preceding her in death are her parents and her husband, William Dale Dickson.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Don Dink Benton officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. Friday, April 26, 2019, at Clarksville Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral in English Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Survivors include her three children, son Brian Dickson and wife, Coleen of Lakewood, Colorado, daughter Kari Blake of Des Moines, Iowa, and daughter Shelly Varley and husband, Val of Clarksville, Texas; 2 sisters Rita Miller and husband, Mike of Anchorage, Alaska, Sandy Johnson and husband, Allen of Lees Summit, Missouri, and Bill Shellenberger of Little Elm, Texas; 9 grandchildren; Christen, Billy, Jessie, Nicole, Zachary, Samantha, Alysha, Jordan, Breanna, and 8 great grandchildren.
