Obituary of Myrtle Thomas

Myrtle Thomas, age 91, of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at Clarksville Nursing Center.

Myrtle was born August 12, 1927, in Prichard, Alabama to Samuel Elisha and Myrtle Mae Davis Hays.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Govan “Toby” Thomas, Sr.; her son, Govan Thomas, Jr., 2 brothers and 1 sister.

The family will receive friends one hour before service time at Albion Church.

Funeral services are set for 11:00a.m., Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Albion Worship Center with Rev. James Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in Albion Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Survivors include her son, Troy Thomas and wife, Debra of Clarksville; her daughter, Vivian Gaines of Clarksville; her sister Mary Lou; grandchildren, Nancy Joyner and husband, David, Marla Richardson and husband, Michael, George Fredrick and wife, Melissa, Bill Fredrick and wife Melisa, Michael Thomas and wife Brenda, Stephen Thomas and wife Megan, Sandie Franklin and husband, Terry and Christy Wheatley and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
