Patsy Gaynell Davidson Oney  born 12-21-1943 in Gilmer, Texas to James (Jim) Allen Davidson ( 1894-1977) and Jimmie Lena Harty (1903-1973)

She was baptized in 1953 at the First Baptist Church, Gilmer, Texas.
Her siblings Winnie Elizabeth Davidson (1932-1961), Thomas Allen Davidson (1934-2005), Dorothy Lee Davidson (1929-2005), James Wendell “Bud” Davidson (1927-2010), Roma Lurlene Davidson Richardson (1923-2013), Virginia Ann Davidson (1939-2018), Martha Sue Davidson (1941-Living in Gilmer, TX.)

She had a favorite brother-in-law growing up Darrell W Shumate (1925-1989) of Gilmer, TX.  She often spoke of Darrell taking her to football games and had a lifelong joy of watching football.

She married Harold Wayne Oney of Marshall, TX  on May 5th, 1962, at the age of 18, they remained happily married until his passing Feb 16th, 2014.  They made their home in Clarksville, Texas.  Being married for 52 years, he was her soul mate. She never stopped missing him.

They had two children, Annie Lauri Oney Thompson born Feb 5th, 1963 and Harold Wayne Oney, Jr born Feb 22nd, 1968.

Patsy often spoke fondly of working for Dr. BC Muthappa in Clarksville, TX and considered he and his family, Rani, Deepak, and Divya her extended family for years.  Patsy’s heart and soul was her family, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  You could not be in her presence and not feel the love she had for her family.  She had a special way of making kids feel appreciated, and cherished, it was her gift.  One of her favorite pastimes was baking and cooking for others.  She adored showing up unexpected with cakes she delivered to friends, family, and strangers.  Her eagerness for seeking new recipes to share was her passion.  She loved her church, golf and playing slots, but most of all she loved the people in her life and her best friend, “Ladybug”.   Her absence will be felt by many, grieved by uncounted, for she touched the hearts of all that knew her.
